Black Dog BJJ offers judo classes in Wigan led by one of the most decorated judokas in British history. Nigel Donohue is a two-time Olympian, having represented Great Britain at the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, where he finished 7th. He also won a Commonwealth Games bronze medal in wrestling (Edinburgh, 1986).
A 1995 European Judo Champion with four European medals in total, Nigel went on to serve as Performance Director of British Judo from 2013 to 2025 — overseeing Olympic and Paralympic medal success at Rio, Tokyo, and Paris.
